Brittany Hope is a general assignment reporter for NBC4 News. She joined KNBC in 2024. Hope’s reports can be seen weekdays on “Today in LA” from 4 a.m. to 7 a.m. and during NBC4 News.

Hope is the recipient of five local Emmy awards for her storytelling and reporting in California and New Mexico.  She has been on the ground for some of the Golden State’s largest wildfires, including the 2024 Park Fire, and the Dixie and Caldor Fires in 2021. She covered the Monterey Park mass shooting, K Street mass shooting in Sacramento, multiple presidential visits and the Davis serial killer case. Through it all, she works to spotlight humanity and community members who step up in the best and worst of times.

Most recently, she served as the weekend evening news anchor at KCRA in Sacramento, a position she held for more than two years. Before her time in Northern California, she was an anchor and reporter at KOAT in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Hope, born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, earned her bachelor’s degree in Broadcast and Digital Journalism from the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism and a minor in Musical Theater. She is also a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
