You pick up the phone and immediately regret it -- another robocall.
Below, a few tips to avoid the annoying calls:
- Join the "do not call" registry at donotcall.gov
- Don't pick up if you are not familiar with the number, let it go to voice mail
- If you don't know who it is - block it!
- If you get a call from someone claiming to be the "do not call registry," hang up. The registry would never call you.
- Block text spammers
- If all else fails, complain by filing an FTC complaint
